PH-7.2
Ammonia-1.0

Remember, nitrites are still extremely toxic and they should never be above 0.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Same thing with ammonia--ANY amount of ammonia or nitrite is deadly.

I did a 75% water change last night... should I remove the fish and just do a 100% change?

OK. And just to make sure I am doing these WCs right... I am vacuuming the rocks and getting all the poop and whatever else is caught in there and it is taking the water out... Is the the right way?

In the beginning I thought y'all meant to just take a pitcher and take the top water out... But then someone said to get out the vacuum and get the rocks that way.


Which way is right? Top water? Or vacuuming the rocks?

I would go with a gravel vac because it is cleaning the tank also.

It will take longer to stabilize but consistency, I believe, is the key.

OK. Then I will continue vacuuming the rocks for the WCs. The boys are not happy with it lol. But I know it is helping them so I continue with it.



On a side note that has nothing to do with fish at all- I am headed to the Dr today. Seems they are gonna work with me and get some more meds because I ran out and can't afford $200 worth of meds right now. :) *happy dance* AND The disability services are paying for me to go see more drs to try to get me SSI! *another happy dance* If I get SSI I will be much better off. And I will have more time to spend with my boys and caring for them :)
