got him/her a few days ago from a guy in town. he had him in a 220g with some dither fish. he claims he is 1.5 - 2 years old. The fahaka is only about 7inches long, is this normal? i thought thefahakas got big, fast or am i wrong? what is the deal? I am worried that he is bored, he looks it. any tips?

Re: questions about my new fahaka
Depends on what he was being fed & how clean the water was kept.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: questions about my new fahaka
what size tank do you have him in now? the only thing you can really do is keep water pristine, nice healthy varied diet with vitamins to soak the food in and hope stunting didnt take effect even though he was in a more than suitable tank(gallon and dimension wise).

Re: questions about my new fahaka
Sounds like he maybe stunted, mine is about 6-8 months old nad is already 7inchs long.
Like said above keep water clean, good food and he may keep growing for you
