What are you in so much pain from? No wonder your memory is flawed. Have you tried alternative therapies like acupuncture & physical therapy? I would think some of the SSRIs would work with those meds.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

I had a really bad wreck last year. I shattered my ankle and had major brain trauma. I was in physical therapy but they told they couldn't help me any more because my ankle quit progressing. A lot of the time I can barely walk... but it's better than what the drs projected (me never walking again at all).....

I'm so sorry. I can understand the depression. Just don't give up.

Trying not to. It's just been hard these past few weeks. And being told that I have to get rid of my boys is just making it even harder... I want them to be ok, but I don't want to give them up... :(

You mentioned in your reply "The pristine parameters of tap water", I tested our tap water... It's worse than the tank water. :(

Not to hijack..just wanted to mention..

If you can't have depression meds, B-vitamins can help take the edge off. Find a supplement that has all of the B vitamins, especially B-12.

If you need a quick fix immediately, and energy shot (with lots of vitamin B 12) can help a tiny bit. Dollar tree sells stacker 2's for a $1. They also have a little caffeine, so read the ingredients carefully and ask a pharmacist to make sure what you are taking does not interact with your current meds..

In some cases this can take the edge off, not take it away...

Also ease up off the vicodin. Is your doctor aware that your are depressed?

Do you know that Keppra has side affects of anxiety and depression? I have been told that vitamin B-6 can help with these side affects from this specific medicine.

Namenda is an Alzheimer medication, but can be used for anxiety..Does this medicine help you at all with depression? I know you had a brain trauma, but it still seems weird that you are taking this medicine. Are you taking this for pain?

Is your pain just from your injuries?

Sorry, I just got all in your business! It is just that you have some co-morbid issues going on here and I am a bit surprised at your medicines. You do not have to answer me!

I don't mind answering.

I take both B-12 and B-6 along with my other meds. Sorry I guess I should have included those when I listed my medications. :/

As for energy shots- I can't have them. I am allergic to corn syrup (it goes by many different names :/ )

Vicodin- Yes all of my doctors know that I struggle with depression. :/ but vicodin is one of the few things that helps with the pain.

"Do you know that Keppra has side affects of anxiety and depression?" I did not know this. But you mentioned the B vitimans. I take both...

Namenda- I take this for my memory. When I take it I can remember more for longer. When I don't I can't remember hardly anything for more than a few minutes :(

Is your pain just from your injuries?- Usually. Tonight not so much. :/

Hope I answered all the questions. I copied and pasted what you wrote so I would get everything, but I may have missed something :/ Just let me know if y'all have anymore questions. I don't mind sharing. :)

See, this isn't just a puffer forum here, we're a big pufferfamily! :D

I can see why an Alzheimer's med would help with memory problems. Have they been using that drug for this very long?

We do eventually have to get back to the subject at hand though... What did you think of J-P's suggestions?

Don't worry, if you ever forget something you can just go back and read it :) I have to do that more than I'd like to admit ;)

I understand how tough it must be to have to give them up. You know you'll need to and it will be best for them and you. It's harder right now but as time passes it'll have been the easier decision. Then, with our help and experience you can find a fish with tons of character and personality that will be happy long term in that tank. This way you can have your new friend for years and years. It will be happy and healthy and it will help you with being happy and healthy :)

We're here for you and your fish, present and future :D
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

The dorm won't allow me to set up a tank. And i can't get anywhere else. I'm gonna ask my friend If she can take me to whatever store she was talking about (said she took some walmart rescues over there..... :'(

I don't want to though... It's so hard for me to let them go....
