Anyone know where to get Dwarf puffers in CA (92804)?

Hi I have been wanting to get some of these cute dwarf puffers for my currently empty 30 gal long tank, but I have had no luck in finding them in stores. I have seen them online but the shipping is a killer as it's $45 or more, and I would much rather get some from a local store or person especially if I can sex them before taking them home so I can get the right male to female ratio. So if you have any info on these cute little guys or know where I can get them in the anaheim area please let me know. Thank's! Also if you have some for sale and are in my area or are able to mail them safly please let me know thank's!

Best I could do to help you is do a google search for 'Fish Pets 92804' and it seemed to give me quite a list of pet stores in your area that carry fish. Granted, I have no idea what they offer, or if they are even still open. You however, should be able to call them and ask them if they could order you in some. They shouldn't charge you any extra than their regular sale price, and one of the stores (if not all of them) should be able to get them. It may not be a common thing that they order, but their listing may include the name 'Dwarf Puffer, Indian Dwarf Puffer, Pea Puffer' or whatever other names they come up with lol... I know my local fish store can order them (if I had a spot for them now) and they said that most fish stores use the same suppliers (I have no clue how valid this is, but seems that way on the east coast after talking with a few diff pet stores along the east side over here, between Indiana and Florida at least!)

Thank you so much for your help, I will certainly try that. I can't wait to get some! In the meantime I'll get my tank well planted and ready for them as I call the local fish stores. No luck with Petsmart or Petco so far, but I think I'll have better luck with real fish stores.

I've seen that alot with other stores as well, they use to carry them but they don't anymore. But thats really cool that petsmart use to breed them, I wonder if it was only one store, location or all petsmarts.

Did you ever find them? They are pretty abundant around here. But I'm on the East Coast so that's pretty damn far from you.

Hi I decided to wait a little while longer before I get some Dwarf puffers. Don't get me wrong I want them really badly but I think it will be better to wait until their tank is better planted. Also my GSP has been actting werid lately and I think I'll post about him. He's just been hiding alot lately but with a white belly...
But I did find a fish store in Brea that I can order some drarf puffers from when I am completly ready.
