Well, finally I'm back in business here. Thanks to Flutter I am have my first puffer in a long time. Too long actually so without further ado here he is: Flutter the Irubesco. Ye sthat's right the kids and I decided that Flutter was the only appropriate name. In a planted 10g right now but I think I should be able to get him into a 30g soon.

Oh he IS evil which is exactly why he didn't join the ranks here :lol: He is the epitome of nasty puffer behaviour which makes him so very endearing to people :lol: He was originally at a store where the puffers are always very sickly. Most of the time I try to avoid looking at them. They treat them like all the other tropical fish and as we know that doesn't work for puffers. He was then bought by a local school and was used in swimming mode experiments. He spent some time going from his tank to a swimming chamber where he was put through his 'gaits' and then was put back in his tank. Here he was treated well and I got him from the school. We were going to fit him into our tank and bought 2 females to go with him. Well, the bag was floated in his QT tank and he was attacking the bag so aggressively that the females were jumping out of the water to get away from him :shock: There went that idea...

I'm so happy you were able to take him and that he didn't have to go back to the store :worship: He looks like he's settling in very well though that's an awfully girly name. Poor guy is going to have some issues there :ROFL2:

That's a great photo of him and I'm sure he will appreciate the plants in the tank you've got him in. My irrubesco always seem to enjoy hanging out in the plants.
