Crowned Puffer (Canthigaster coronata) Questions

Post by mrs.som »

I recently got a copy of "The New Marine Aquarium" to be better informed about this new hobby of mine. It shows the Crowned puffer as being good in 25 gallons.
The profile on PF also says this but I get conflicting info on other sites. Anyone have an opinion on this or experience with these guys?
Thanks!

Yes. It can be kept just like C. valentini and C. solandri. There are 2 little known species (or regional variants/subspecies) very, very similar to C. coronata (even more than the C. valentini), however, I guess their care is the same.

I'd personally prefer a tank of at least around 50 gallons for most Canthigaster spp.

LOL, I always tend towards agreeing with Corvus, that's why he's a Mentor here!

:) I missed the "Mentor" part. Thanks as always for your honest opinions. I will wait for a bigger setup before entering into puffer territory altogether.
