so my lights came in today! here are some pics. I kinda "ghetto" attached them to my hood for now, just to see how they look. The pics are definately more blue than in person, but they are a bit bright. Im thinking maybe one light would have been good, but it came as a set of two connected to one adapter. here are the pics of my tank with moonlights and daylights.

Here are the lights

i actually took one of the bars out, because it was a bit bright, so now just one LED bar is in the middle and it looks much better.

i gave george three ghost shrimp the other day. he ate two and left the third one alone. he swims by him and they even both eat blood worms together . . . im sure one day george will turn on him :(

the thing is, the two light bars are connected to one adapter. if i could figure a way to separate them without ruining wires i would, right now the second bar is behind my tank giving a blue glow behind my tank it looks kinda cool. Ill take some more shots tonight :)

Check out the voltage on the adapter. Chances are you can find another one that will work just fine, and with how efficient LEDs are, you don't have to worry about it being too much draw for the adapter no matter how low it is.
