New puffer trick

My Solandri, Budda has learned a new trick- spitting water at us when he wants to be fed. It started after we moved (6 tank in one day- worse than moving the rest of the apartment). I was so busy with the new job (takes 120 miles round trip commute each day and often I am sent on overnight trips for 2-5 days), that I was getting lax on cleaning the saltwater tank. Not to mention the phosphate reactor had not been set back up (husband will feed the fish but will not clean or do anything else with tanks). So I had a pretty bad algae problem going- front glass was covered. So Budda who usually swims along the front puffed slightly, fanning his fins and tail to get fed decided that spitting water at our faces might get our attention. He did it to my husband first. He would turn on the light and look for the fish- Budda would come up and start spitting. Budda would not stop until he hit my husband in the face which cause my husband to back away from the tank. So hubby goes and feds him immediately after this. Now every time you go look for him before feeding, he comes to the top and spits at you until you fed him. So much for dumb fish.
