I'd be angry too.. and stop shopping there. That is certainly NOT fair.

Now, that you have new fish for the tank, just watch them for a while to make sure you didn't buy sick fish.

And you can wait until Sat to do a water change :)
it was realy up seting for me

sorry I couldn't get a vid of the gravel cleaning. All my tanks are sand and just worked too much today.

The only tank I have with gravel is a 30 gal with guppies (like you now) and they are just babies so it would be different anyway.

The one thing I can, say is use your hand or a set of chopsticks to stir the gravel and get it nice and cloudy. The filter will take some out but it will settle on the top making it easier to clean with the gravel vac. After your gravel vac you will clean out the filter but not using tap water. Use old tank water.

I hope this helps without a vid .. sorry :( I'll keep trying

ohhh... that is sad ... I don't think it was because you brought him back .. probably because he didn't like something in the water. Remember it is not your fault.. they gave you the wrong information to start AND cheated you on the return ...

Ok .... so you now have the cichlid back. It will be difficult and you should have a larger tank, but keep doing what I taught you... water changes every day (once a day) and don't feed too much. 5 days on 2 days off but not 2 days together :)

you did the best that you could... we don't even know if it jumped the tank ...

They didn't tell the truth about the tank size, maybe they didn't tell the truth about it jumping the tank .. maybe a staff member took it home.

I don't trust that store.. bad at the beginning and bad at the end.

I agree with JP, Its not your fault to start with.

Second I would stop going there all together, they lied to you and that is enough for me not to want to go back. Its their fault your puffer was even put into that situtation

If you hadn't of taken him back he would have lived a short and miserable life.

You did the right thing.

It was not your fault.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

That's life hun. I'm sorry.

He's obviously a bad person to begin with. It's his fault. He would have known better even if you hadn't of said anything.
