Figure 8 filtration question

I'm doing some reading before I change my 29g to a figure 8 tank...I was planning on getting two f8's and a pair of bumblebee gobies.

I'm trying to decide on filtration....I have an emperor 280 which would give me almost 10x turnover, which is good for cichlids.

Would this be too much current for puffers?

I have an AC70 (300gph) And it is nowhere near too much current. Even my BBGs are unaffected by it.

I would only recommend one F8 for a 29g. Just keep in mind how big they get as adults. And BBGs like to be around a group of their own kind, like 5 or more. ...and good idea, I think I'll go with the single puffer and a couple extra bumblebees.

It turns out that the emperor is way too big for my 29g with the lid on the tank, so I may use a eheim 2213 currently on my tang tank with an AC50. My local big-box pet store has eheim ecco 2236's on clearance for $59, so I'll buy one of those for the tangs

Well, I went to the lfs and the had a couple of F8s stuck in a tank with GSPs, so I went ahead and took both.

The bubbles are from the spray bar on the 2213 I am using to filter with an AC50. They seem to like swimming up through the bubbles. At the end of the vid they encounter ghost shrimp for the first time. I'm hoping that since they dart around, they will be more inviting than the bumblebee gobies. I got the gobies some rocks to hide in, but so far they don't care to use them.

I know the tank is a bit sparse, I can't find much in the way of natural looking decor here, and I'm a really bad interior decorator anyway . So if you happen to have suggestions...

I kept 2 in my 29g for many years. Go to Petsmart, they have great fake mangrove roots there for them to swim through.

It is not the bubbles, it is the current that they like - and yes, they do love it and it is good exercise for them.
