Thanks guys, good to know. Sometime back I bought this and a floating arm hydrometer at the same time and I was going to return the floater because I didn't use it but I went past the 30 day return policy. Oh well, another unused aquarium item for the pile. lol
There are many knowledgeable fish keepers on this forum willing to help and give great advice...The advice is free; What you choose to do with it gives it value.

Many of us have shelves full of unused equipment - the real junk I can throw away without pain, but the potentially useful but less-than-the-best just takes up shelf space.
