Hello, I have a 75 gal tank and ready to go and water is cycled. Wanted to know what species I could put in it...? I would prefer a larger puffer if possible, and could be the only fish as well if needed. Any info or ideas would be a great help...?
Thanks

The footprint will not be big enough for the most common monsters to turn around..like fahakas or porcupine.
To be honest a 75 is not a good option for a large puffer
So that brings you down to some medium sized puffers
If you are willing to go brackish-
Ceylons (hard to find, impossible almost)
2 Green spotted puffers (easy to find)
4 or 5 figure 8's (low brackish, is easy, easy to find puffer)
If you want to stay fresh
you can do a school of South American puffers ( constant supply of snails for their teeth, so start breeding snails before getting SAPS
Your tank is too big for a lot of the fresh puffers because most of them are luckers AND cannot have any tank mates including their own kind...so big tank , little action
And it is too small and will stunt the large puffers
And way to small for the x-large puffers..

J-P can I steal that for my sig?
Also, maybe if it is in my sig newbies will ask, "what does cycle mean?"
It is funny to me..it is like walking up to someone and being really enthusiastic "HI, HOW ARE YOU!"..and then asking a personal question.."Do you dye your hair?"J-P wrote:Welcome to the forum!! how was the tank cycled?
