Very similar! Only difference is the little white patch on the chest. Lesley, Was it you that posted pics of very young puppies, I remember thinking back then they looked similar to my dog.

I think I know what the problem is, He stopped jumping and being so hyper when my husband came home....leading me to the conclusion that it is me who needs training LOL..why can't he be as easy as my dachshund??

He is responding to the presence of the "alpha male". In his mind you are an equal.

We have the same problem with my wife's dog. He will do whatever I say and won't her.

My last JRT used to pee on Hubby's foot when he came home. I kept trying to tell him it was out of respect.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

You are probably right. My husband is ex-military...so he just has when I walk into a room, I am in charge appearance/personality. He is also older than me which probably does not help, I am in my 20's he is in his 40's.

My dachshund knows the real deal though...he hates my husband and will do nothing he says..and will follow me around everywhere.

Today, I tried a few dog whisperer tricks (pssp, pssp)..I just got a goofy stare

LOL!!! it worked for me.. and it works on my cats too, especially the male!

My wife tries it and she doesn't get nearly the same reaction as I do. But her noises are a little pathetic and don't really command attention. It sounds more like "shhh shhh"
if you follow me, you avoid stepping in the crap that I just did...

On that SAP teeth trimming video you made, I could hear your wife's voice and she does sound kind of girly and quiet, which is probably my problem as well
