Calloplesiops altivelis aka marine Betta

i was wondering if anybody on this forum has had any experience with this fish. Since im redoing my tank im going reef and this is a really nice reef safe fish with good size and some what friendly to Inverts. my LFS has 2 in stock so im wondering if they will go well with cleaner shrimp and a Sea slug??

I had a marine betta for many years. The betta will eat any shrimp that it can fit in its mouth, so any but the largest cleaner shrimp are going to be a snack. I had a coral banded for a while, it was big and aggressive enough to fend off the betta. Bettas are VERY shy fish. When people came over to my house the betta would hide and never be seen. It did take a while to get the betta trained on to eating dead food, I would highly recommend quarantining the fish so that it can get use to feeding, other wise it has a chance to hide and never come out for food and die. I had mine trained to eat krill from my finger tips. They are friendly with all other fish that wont fit in their mouths. The sea slug should be fine.

hmm good info but the way it looks i wont be getting the betta a bit to shy and id rather him not eat my shrimp lol
