Caribsea Floramax substrate and puffers?

Hi,

I am new to puffers and plant substrates, and I was wondering if I could safely use Caribsea Floramax with Brazilian Puffers or if it would be too sharp for them. I will be mixing with natural gravel. Also, I am not sure if it has any copper content...I know most liquid ferts have trace amounts.

FYI - all vertebrates and many inverts also absolutely require trace amounts of copper as do plants, and that does include puffers. It is a component of many transport and enzyme systems, so deficiencies are highly detrimental. Copper just happens to be one of several required micronutrients where excess may and can be toxic.
