The AC50 should be fine with the flow turned down a bit. Just turn it down and stop right b4 it starts to make the gurgeling sound.

If the AQ50 is too much current here is what I do to baffle the filter return. It's a piece of the plastic back filler strip from a glass canopy. I heated it up to bend it. This is just on a small AQ20, it is on my snail farm that has one Betta in it and I didn't want him getting blown around. It actually causes more surface agitation.

I originally made this for a AQ70 and it worked fine on it too.

It took 2 months for my LFS to get them. All the chain pet stores quit carrying them. Oh and mine sells them as "bb" puffers.

Well, I ordered a pair of DP's from Forsyth Aquatics in GA. They should arrive tomorrow. I have my 10 g all set up, cycled and ready. I picked up one of these to put over the intake for the AQ50. It has reduced the flow a bit (and hopefully, will keep the little guys from getting sucked into the intake). http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.j ... Id=3650250. I've actually noticed that the AQ50 is alot quieter now and there is a bit more fine control over the flow rate.

I'll post some pics once the DP's are in their new home.
