Sorry to ask a non-puffer question, but you guys are the best.
Today I bought some cardinal tetras (Metallic aqua blue with a red tail) to go with my dwarf rams. I want to have my two dwarfs in with a small school of these fish and that's it. I bought two tetras today to see if they will be compatible.
The lighting fixture and bulb on the tank is brand new, is nice and bright with a slight purple hue...
The bulb says it is a AQUEON rapid start, 8,000k
This light has made my rams look beautiful, but the cardinal tetras not so much
Instead of a solid band of aqua blue metallic..I am getting aqua blue metallic at the head and in small streaks along the side, and the rest is a deeper shade of blue and not so metallic looking. Still beautiful..but not as beautiful as it could be.
I know nothing about lighting..so I thought maybe you guys would know if I need a different kind of light.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Lighting Question
They are fairly new and may stay colored down until they get used to things.
There are many knowledgeable fish keepers on this forum willing to help and give great advice...The advice is free; What you choose to do with it gives it value.
