Carinotetraodon irrubesco

Post by wild1 »

I have a nice male in a 15g with two other little fish that I put in there before the puffer. I just started to notice every now and then when the puffer goes into his coconut he flares his ridge but doesnt look like he wants to hurt the fish. So I am wondering if he is alright or trying to let them know not to get close. He doesnt do it all the time and hasnt shown any real aggression towards them. When I bought him he was in a 10g with 3 small feeder fish and a ghost shrimp. They had him for a while there and didnt eat or hurt them. I actually would like to do a bigger Southeast Asian tank with other fish, him being the show piece.

My irrubescos were little terrors when they were with other fish. Very nasty indeed.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.
