Re: whatcha eatin
Kiddo had her usual - cold hotdogs. I swear, if I could get her to eat a cooked one, or heck... just SOMETHING ELSE besides hotdogs, we'd be good. I keep telling myself it's just a phase. I figure eventually she'll get tired of them, or hate them.
Boyfriend had leftovers, as I was supposed to work tonight, but we were dead and I got sent home early (yey!)... On the way out of work I snagged up some toppings (veggies and a few pepperonis, with a dash of cheese and a touch of sauce, ran it though the oven) with one piece of garlic cheese bread... I know, not great for me, but it is what it is! YUMMY!

Re: whatcha eatin
My dad invited me over for dinner tonight so we had market sausages, hash browns, cauliflower, and a salad wedge. For desert Kyle and I made angel food cake with a fresh lemon glaze (i.e. zested and juiced lemons). We topped it with whip cream and fresh raspberries. YUM.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

"Darwin swings...annnnnnd a miss. Boy Jim, Chuck's suffered at the plate tonight. He's 0 for 3 and I'm not sure he's recovered from that shoulder pull a few weeks ago. I'll bet the front office is re-thinking that contract."

Open face turkey sandwich from the hospital cafeteria, all low fat and low sodium. Thank goodness for a smuggled in salt shaker and enough Mt. Dew to help choke this bad boy down. This was the lesser of the evils they were serving tonight....

Re: whatcha eatin
My little cousin only ate hot dogs without buns(didn't care the temperature) and wonton soup for about two years around that age. I kept saying just let him starve; that after about 3 days, when true animal hunger sets in, a person will eat anything. But my aunt said that was cruel and kept buying him wonton soup and hotdogs for over two years.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

Re: whatcha eatin
She does eat other things; but she doesn't like many kinds of meats - because of where they come from. I'd hate to tell her where hotdogs come from, but so far - she doesn't want to hurt animals. She does like chicken, in nugget form only. Otherwise it's off limits. She loves green beans, and some other things - just usually doesn't want to eat the same food we're eating. (won't cook her a seperate meal.)

Who's heard of Scottish tablet?
Someone shared the recipe on my soap forum, and after mulling it over for about 2 weeks I decided to make some. DH has a vicious sweet tooth.

Can you say Instant Diabetes in a Pan? Whoa. I was sugar free for about 2.5 yrs and should still be, but since my chemo last year, I began allowing some carbs back. Makes it harder to say no to sugar, that's for sure!!
