Hairy puffer last q's

Hey peeps, my hairy man will be here couple of weeks and just need the last few tweaks as always. Have a nice sand substrate, plants and hiding places. In terms of food, the one purchasing already eats frozen food so half the battle done. Do hairies eat snails? Does it vary or a general consensus? Any particular tips for hairies? This will be my first lurker type fish x

My Baileyi does not eat snails. And I would say as long as you've got hiding places, it sounds like you're well prepared. I put a terracotta pot into my tank for my girl to hide inside. She likes to hover in there. If you don't already have some sort of "cave" for your Hairy, then you might get one of those pots, just to give it somewhere to go where it will feel secure.

Here is preview of the tank, there are sure to be more tweaks and plants, have a bucket load of plastic plants but need to slot the filter in next to see the flow. Filter 100% cycled to go. The picture doesnt do it justice, have tried to denser areas at the back with freer movement at the front, to the left is a good cave from slating, pot hidden at the back and some natural cover from the large root to the right.

EDIT: p.s. just realised this pic is before I put more along the left side near heater and center!
