Hi.
I recently got a great deal on a 75 gallon tank for my 2 GSP. We are building a stand and I am trying to sort out the pumps, protein skimmer and other miscelanea. There seems to be everything for a sump except for the tank. I was wondering what size tank would you use for a sump tank for a 75 gallon tank?
Please forgive any misspellings as it is getting late here.
Thanks,
Crystal

Is the tank drilled? If not, I don't think a sump is necessary.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

No the tank is not drilled.
It has an overflow filter in the box of stuff that came with it along with all of the piping and a pump to return the water.
I have searched the forum and library and cannot find any information on why you would need to have a sump. Does anyone know?

The biggest size you can fit in the stand. The biggest I could fit in my 90g stand was a 20long, now I have a 40g breeder for a sump in the fish room.

Often you can get a much larger sump tank in by partially disassembling the stand(I have a 29 under my 72 bow) or by slipping it in from the "back" of the stand.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.
