Yeah, still very early over there right now, so I will wait until the regular lights come on and maybe will get to see the baby. But I've been to that site before and it is very cool, always enjoy it. :D

It kinda reminds me of that little lemur in Madagascar with the big eyes that was really annoying.

Are Garden Eels those things that remind of those creatures in 'Men in Black' ? :D

I have no idea. :)

They stick out of the sand like grass and sway like a blade of macro would. They shoot back into their holes when they feel threatened (like when you're trying to look at them in the tank!).

Yep, those are the ones. They had them down at this LFS and me and my husband could not stop watching them and laughing at their funny antics. I wouldn't mind having a few of them in a nano tank, just to sit and watch. Although I know absolutely nothing about them other than they are amusing to watch. :D

Aw man those things are sooo cool!

My dream tank, well, for now, is a 75 with a HUGE cave with two peacock eels and a community of platies and guppies so some of the fry become food for the eels, readily available IN the tank for them to hunt as they please. :) And of corse, high tech planted with a pressurized Co2 set up and dry ferts.

Haha, they're too big for a nano silly. Max size: 1' 2."

Maybe you're thinking of jawfish?

That would be cool John.

The garden eels get to be more than a foot long?

Wow, I had no idea. I did say I know absolutely nothing about them. The ones we seen were small, not more than a few inches long I don't think, at least their upper bodies didn't look like something that would be very long.

Perhaps I'm thinking of something different, but the name did make me think it was the same thing.
