I have an unused 2x 150W Metal halide unit. Just wondering if I built an acrylic tank maybe 3 by two feet, how much water depth could I get away with - how shallow could I get away with, if I want to grow either clams or Acropora? Ten inches, eight?
This would be invert only, using RO water to mix the salt and some LR with powerheads to give me 20x circulation. And a skimmer...
Plus, of course an auto top up device for water loss...

Re: Twig farm?
I've got a few twigs but prefer the more encrusting type SPS like montipora danaes, in addition to a few caps. I keep breaking off the sticks with my clumsiness.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
