ok so my girlfriend is a little shy and asked me to post this question for her. she recently set up a 10 gallon tank and finished cycling it and added a school of 7 pygmy cories to it (i'm not a huge fan of cories but i have to admit these little guys are wicked cute) and was hoping she could add in some "blue fire" grouamis. they're teh size of a honey gourami and look exactly the same other than the fact that their backs are a very dark blue color. i've tried looking to see if this blue color is natural or just a standard honey gourami that has been dyed. she dones't want to get them if they have been dyed artificially as she (and i) feel its very inhumane so any insight would be great. on the same topic she wants to add a few female bettas to the tank as well, i think it should be ok but told her to be careful becuase they are closely related and could show aggression over food, but nothing serious should happen. just wondering if anyone has had experience mixing female bettas with grouamis. thanks for teh help
