Hey there Chilly! Do you have a 150g tank for this? As it is, your 2 GSPs will find a 55g to be a bit tight for them when they become 6" adults. Mine nipped at all corals.

Not sure its a risk I would take! Anyway, the tank would need to be mahooosive - now I know you lost a dining table already, but can you really do without a sofa!!
I like the idea of clown fish with GSPs - I know people have done that combo, but have no experience (as you know).

Tank is too small to start with IMO

Shakespeare got stressed during a water change and did some damage to my narrow lined puffers fins. He tolerates Jillybean, his life partner GSP, perfectly well.

thanks nick is shakespear a dogface?

no im sorry uv got me wrong, i want 2 start a diff tank if poss+ keep a dogface, then when i eventually move home + get a larger tank, big enough 2 hold them all. then put them in 2gether, but i dont want 2 start keeping a fish if i cant mix it it eventually, im just thinking about the larger goal, rather then at the minute!!

i hope u understand what my thinking is :D :D

The best way to try keeping more than one of the same species is to raise them together from juvies. It is always very iffy to keep different species together. Raising 2 different species in separate tanks & then trying to put the adults together, is a disaster waiting to happen, IMO.
