Woohoo we have our Dwarf Puffers [with pics of dps and tank]

Post by GemsandDai »

Well we picked them up from Andrew (Autophotos) this evening and they are so cute!

They seem to have settled in well and are having a good little nose around their new home.

Have tried to take some photos but they are fast little things!

Congratulations! Those are really nice-looking DPs. I hope they bring you loads of enjoyment. I'm constantly amazed at how much personality these teeny-tiny fish can have. Enjoy!

Hey, you've got a Bluey, good for you! Great photos also. :grats:

I've just set up a new dwarf puffer tank and am really enjoying watching them. I had them in with my irrubesco before, and I didn't get to see them at their best in that tank, but now they've got an entire tank all to themselves. :D

Thanks all :)

Can't stop watching them, they are so funny! Fed them some bloodworm too and they all had their fair share :)

Haven't taken a full tank shot with the dps in, but it is itentical to as it was with the community fish in (they are no longer in there! Just the 4 dps) and I have a pic of that so will share that now.

That's beautiful! How many galloons is it? I love the driftwood. Is it real? And the rocks!!! And red plant! Stunning.

Be careful though, those tetras could get nipped, but it looks like they've got plenty of cover for the DP's to be occupied. :) Nice work! How do you feed? My guppy always stole the puffers food before they got a chance.

I'd be worried about those tetras too. Wonderful-looking tank though. How many gallons?

Thanks all :)

I think I best point out though, the neons, rainbows etc aren't in the tank anymore. The only inhabitants are 4 dps. The other fish are in a smaller tank currently waiting to be put into our new community tank (a Fluval Vicenza) I had read that dps were extremely nippy so thought it best we move them out before putting the dps in.

The tank is a 90l, I'm not too sure what that is in gallons though.

All decor is fake - the plants and the driftwood

That's 24 gallons. :) That's great for four DP's. Good work! I'm sure you will love them. And I'm sure they love that tank.

That's right--I do remember you saying those were being moved out, leaving that tank fully cycled for the DPs.
