Don's (AKA MrHumphries) BBQ party Ontario Canada

Post by J-P »

We have been selected as the host of the band One Day to Live 's annual party. This is a charity BBQ and concert. There will be a minimum of 10 bands here form 12 pm to 11 pm and maybe going later.

All profits will be directed towards Don's (a local member) medial expenses for his 4 year old child with cancer.

There is a chance that the lead singer of "Three Days Grace" will make a cameo, but no guarantees, as he has a concert soon after.

This is going to be a HUGE party with 400+ ppl camping over night, good food and a BYOB policy.

If you live in Ontario and are available Aug 28th - 29th you are HIGHLY encouraged to attended. The cover is $5 plus food (extra). Don't miss the dual Harley stand off!!

PM me for details... it is going to be one of "those" parties!

Do you have a website or flyer made up? I can put it to my facebook (pls give permission to cross-post) and maybe get some folks out. Unfortunately, I can't attend, my Mom will be visiting from the states and would NOT be interested :-)

The head liner band that contacted me has a my space and facebook site:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/One-Day-T ... 5850814744 <== but I sent them an addie with a typo: It is 29481 Hwy 28 south. If they add that extra digit they'd end up in Ottawa some where ;)

Myspace:
http://www.myspace.com/1day2live

Additional info:
This is a BYOB party. There is a door charge of $5, food and additional drinks (non-alcoholic) are an additional charge.

Over stayers are welcome if you have a tent, but there are no shower facilities. It is a bush party.

There will also be a dual Harley smoke off!!! How sweet is that?

Running time is 12:00 pm Aug 28th ~ 11:00pm. After that we may be going acoustic or re-locating for the remainder of the night.

with luck we can get a decent vid. I'd like a short one of each band, the smoke off and some silly stuff going on.

Curious, will you also be setting up a paypal account (by chance) for those who would LIKE to donate, or help the cause that cannot attend??

Hi, really wishing I wasn't in England as it sounds great!

I agree with Ohyouknow that setting up a paypal acct or something for those of us that can't attend to still donate if we would like to would be a good idea. :-)

That is a good idea. I believe that one is already set up under his Mustang user forum. I'll get the details or have him post it here.

:hyper:

That's brilliant news Don. How's she handling it all? Kids are so resilient.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.
