Ok so I got a 2nd puffer for a tank a few days ago and I haven't gotten it to eat yet. No biggie... My first one didn't eat for a few days either. So today my new puffer was looking really thin so I went ahead and put enough blood worms in the tank to feed both my DP. Well my older puffer went crazy and ate it all up while the other one had nothing to do with the food. Next thing I know my poor DP that ate all the food clearly over ate. It was swimming like a drunk fish you know the works. Whats running through my mind as my poor fish floated around was uh-oh I just killed my fish when next thing I know she barfs it all up. Is this normal? Anyways she is fine now. And my other puffer ate too... Looks like I'll have to hand feed both of them with the skewer...
I saw my F8 do it when i was doing one of her first water changes, she was very nervous so I put it down to that, i now don't feed her till AFTER a water change!

Ok so I tried just dropping the food in the tank and both my puffers are PIGS so they ate it up before it had time to soak and release all the bubbles inside. So in return I get a very un comfy puffer with a air bubble... I just can't win at this can I?
Try pre-soaking the food in some aquarium water for a while before you drop it in, it will sink straight away and you'll avoid them taking in air bubbles
I fed my GSP a bag of crickets once, on an already mostly full stomach. He ate and ate, threw some of them up, and re-ate them again. Haha.... he's okay though.
Looks like everyone in my tank is doing good now. I just have to remember to pre soak everything ling enough. It just freaks me out to see them floating around the top of the tank with air bubbles in their little tummies. That and the other puffer gets mad when she see's her friend floating at the top of the tank.
