Have you given any thought to going with live plants? If I were you, I'd get a background on the tank, and I'd get more plants to put in there. Thing is, live plants are usually cheaper than plastic. Dwarf puffers love mosses, so you might want to try that, it's easy to grow too, not demanding at all.

Awww.... I'm really sorry to hear about Pete's passing. Please accept my condolences.

I actually found one of mine dead today earlier ... but as I had a couple that were teeny tiny, it didn't surprise me that one of them didn't make it. I didn't have a name for him because I've got about 7 or 8 of them and it would be impossible to know who was who.

No, my lfs has a policy where you can return any dead fish within 14 days of purchase and exchange it with another.

When you go to your LFS ask them if you can have some free snails from the Tanks. If you see any that are cone shaped, leave them but the usual snails should be fine.
Sad that one of yours has died and thought it amazing that yours eats frozen Bloodworm as my only eats live stuff.
I been to LFS today and got about 30 free small snails.
If you get some Ottos to claen the tank then buy more than one as I tried two single Ottos and both died.
I got a pair and they seem much better.

Thing about Otos is that if you can't provide them with enough algae in your tank, then you need to supplement them with something else (I give mine algae wafers). I think that's the biggest mistake people make. They get them and then think they will be alright once the algae is gone, but they have voracious appetites from what I've read and I think that's why they die. I've had very good luck with mine, I moved them from one tank to another and I am also giving them algae wafers. They are doing fine.
