Comon, a 10" puffer doesn't just disappear... What kind of puffer? What size tank? I see pictures of a dogface puffer in your past posts. Is that the one? It seems you have a lot of rock in there. Have you removed all of it to look for him?

....nobody ELSE took him out, did they? (maybe found him belly up and afraid to tell you?)

Kind of asked the LFS their theory on a disappearing fish. They asked if there may have been someone trying to make the puffer puff, or did something to make him pass... and hid the body to hide it? Other than that, they said maybe the crabs... what is the substrate? And what kind of puff again?? Not sure but is it one that would bury itself? Maybe he buried, and something happened?? I don't know?

one time i found my puffer fish stuck to the wall behind his tank.

i remember reading that someone had a puff and also had a dog, and found the puffer under the fridge.

SO many places it could be ! Maybe even stuck to a rock that you moved ?

When my salivator jumped out of the tank, my dogs must have gotten it because I found it outside at the front of the house. :?

I don't think my dogs killed it, I think it probably died inside the house and the dogs found it and took it outside. It wasn't chewed up or anything.

I remember reading a post on here about someone losing a fair sized GSP, thinking it was dead, and it showed up a few days later alive and well. Theory was that it hid in the rock. If this is a SW tank, check your plumbing for your sump real throughly. One guy on ReefCentral had a small Trigger disappear and found it in his 1 3/4 coming of his overflow. Didn't Yaunachin's Lunar Wrasse get in to her sump and still lives there?
