Dogface Puffer Owners Only

I need your advice on a dogface puffer. I would like to purchase one, but I am a bit concerned about their teeth. I have other puffers and I do not want to get myself into a situation where I am likely to have to cut down or shave his teeth. My questions is for current dogface puffer owners and what your experiece is around having to shave down teeth. For those of you that do, why do you think this is so (i.e. diet, other) and for those of you who have not had to do so (how long have you owned the puffer and what do you attribute not having to shave the teeth to. If diet, what exactly and where do you get it?

I have seen several bucktoothed DF puffers in shops. If you feed a varied diet of crunchy foods (as per our feeding article in the Library here), there shouldn't be a problem.

Though the need a bigger tank and obviously look differently, porcupine puffers don't have any dental problems, they have crushing plates instead of "teeth".

I would tend to agree though, fed a proper diet, dogface puffers shouldn't have dental issues.

My puffer is able to file its own teeth with clams and mussels. One of his teeth is chipped right now.
