I got a vivarium for my new little veiled chameleon (I will be posting pics as soon as he settles in more). I had him in a converted aquarium, which isn't suitable, not tall enough .... but I found the perfect viv for £30, so he's in a nice big one now. He's so tiny, so fragile. He's even more fragile than my pygmy chams. He's not eaten since I've had him and that's worrying me. Hopefully this is just him getting acclimated to his new surroundings. :?

I was doing a water change on my Ceylon tank, and then went upstairs to check on the chameleon and got distracted. When I came down, I had flooded the room! Probably about 10-15 gallons of water on the floor, maybe more. Thankfully I caught it before it got too bad, although it was bad enough, trust me. Good thing that most of my electric extensions are sitting up off the floor. I know one day I'm going to electrocute myself, or the dogs, or both. I think I've flooded the floor about 4 times (although not always in the same room), but one of those wasn't my fault (a hose came loose from an old filter). So now the carpet is going to smell horrible for a few days. At least it's very warm over here right now, so that should help dry out the carpet quicker than usual.

I saved a dog today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

someones wiener dog ran out in front of my jeep and I had to mash my brakes, it wasn't on leash and just running around. I did a U-turn came back around and there was some lady chasing it, I asked her if it was her's and it wasn't, she was trying to catch it because it was lost and almost got hit a few times before. After 3 attempts with my driving down the block, jumping out and ahead of it to block it, while she tried to catch it, we finally did. Fortunately it had a tag with phone number, I called but no answer. So I drove around the neighborhood with the dog looking for people who might be searching for a dog, but had no luck. I took it home and then got a call. The owner and her kids came to pick the dog up. It was so GREAT seeing the happiness on the owner's and kids faces, not to mention the dog. Made me feel great.

Just had to share.

Today, I spent time with my family, went to play putt putt, and then went to jolly ol' work.
Ate chocolate cake, some mystery pizza (not sure what was on it but it was the best EVER) and have almost a whole pizza I got to take home for free.

I also had a great delivery that made my night. I delivered a pizza to a party... I walked up to the garage of a home where there were about ten people sitting around a table, and I found it odd nobody heard me say hello... Someone saw me, and they so quietly assembled, and motioned at the dear little old lady with the money in her hands, they pointed at me - and motioned the money was mine. The only sign language I know is thank you, so I said thank you - and they did a happy dance :) They were all elderly, and deaf, and it just warmed my heart so much - I kind of felt like I made their night, and they definitely made mine.

I learned how to work the cut table tonight - really not much to it.

I think I'm just rambling now. Wasting time because my daughter fell asleep in my bed tonight, (I imagine my boyfriend just set the timer to the TV, and fell asleep - and she fell asleep then sometime after, as usual.) So now I have to move her, and risk waking her... and ugh. Or I could just go sleep in her bed........... nah.

I went to the LFS to visit the Figure 8's...again :-) Their fins are tattered but no visible ich and nice fat tummies. I'm 99% sure I'm gonna get one. I still can't decide whether to use a 15g and sturdy but ugly that I already have or treat myself to a new setup. They have a really nice 25g corner tank with a nice stand...

I had to make an emergency run to get some crickets today for my ever-growing chameleon population, I had run completely out. I have a delivery of 500 crickets coming Tuesday, but could not wait until then.

Ziggy, my baby Yemen chameleon, was hanging all around the plastic dish I put his crickets in, almost as if to say, "well I'm hungry and I'm here, where's the food?"
