Thanks :) I wish Vicious was a bit less picky. Anymore it seems like it has to be something live, and hoping to get my hands on a few marbled cray. I don't have room for a large breeder right now, however I talked to my LFS... They seem interested in them; even if I can't breed them myself I can give them a go then. Maybe one day (you know, when I have the perfect house with a fish-room in it... wait, that'll probably be EVERY room...) I'll be able to squeeze in a breeder tank. It's like, I dream of having a 200 gallon tank for my Fahaka, flanked by end table tanks that have crays breeding in one, the other with crabs, shrimp and snails. Happy crunchies, fresh and ready. It could be the centerpiece of the living room IMO - who needs a TV?

Well yeah, I mean, it's not a bad thing, but he just doesn't seem to taste anything, just sucks it in and is looking for the next piece of food. But yes, I'd much rather have a puffer that eats easily than a puffer that is difficult to feed. :)

Here is a new video: I started this project while digging for my first videos of Vicious. My boyfriend says he 'hasn't hardly grown at all' since I got him, which was the day before joining this forum... I believe that was 5/5/2010... so two months have passed and I think he has grown considerably. I thought I would share.

I am also waiting on a phone call today - my boss said he thinks he found the tank I need, just awaiting info (hopefully they'll sell it, and for a really good price!) If nothing else, I talked to my dad... we might look into making a tank. I know there are risks of leaking and whatnot, but I think it might be a fun adventure. Dad has also worked with glass a lot, and know a guy that can cut it for us, if not get the glass for us for a good price (glass cutting and etching business.) Then I can have my ideal tank; with a nice footprint...

And now, I am just babbling, because I have uploaded the video - it just hasn't fully processed yet. Figures! Later today I also hope to swing out to the LFS and see if they have some cherry shrimp, or ghost shrimp to toss in my snail tank, mostly to just help cleanup some of the junk in there!

Alright, hope it works! (embedded then linked... I hope)

Thanks and I agree lol he was so tiny before! It's like seeing my three year old, and looking at old pics of her. Hard to believe she was that little once (same with the puffer)...

You're good at doing these videos! Vicious is cute.
I know what you mean about growing though. When I got BeeBoo, my Mbu, he was about 4" long, and now he's nearly 12" and very robust .... strange how they go from being so cute and small to a big huge fish, so quickly too.

I agree with PPG very nicely done.

The tank actually looks much more mature now :)

Vicious is a handsom guy! At least your fahaka likes live food, mine run's scared from anything other than snails and pellets. Also if you do get a big tank instead of having breeders in sperate tanks you could easily set up a 75g fuge under a 180+ RR tank to house/breed your food under the tank to keep things all nice, tidey and NO3 free :D

Thanks LD :D

The fuge is a great idea; with my 120, I wonder if a fuge would fit inside the bottom of the cabinet? I'll have to check it out when I get it lol...Even if the breeder I currently have fits, that would be great... Otherwise, IDK... Even if the 10gal (that I'm told I have to sell, not allowed to have too many tanks ;) ) would fit - I could start off with some crays...hmmm...
