I love your starfish too! I bet it is peaceful, like watching the waves... all the 'motion of the ocean'...

If I wasnt in an apt I like to do another tank much bigger but Im limited with space. But I must say after being FW enthusiast for 10 years and having a SW tank for less than a year I have already gotten more enjoyment in months than I ever have with any tank before. OPtions are endless. I highly recommend if Your in between the idea of SW..If i can U can

Nice! I love the bright bright colors.

Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

To address the first issue, yes you were VERY lucky to catch your overflow before it became more serious, so good for you on that!
I'd just like to say I've been enjoying looking at your SW photos, very pretty, love all those corals, and of course, the puffers are cute too.
Your little morkie is adorable!!! And it's great that you rescued him from someone that wasn't giving him the attention he deserves. He looks like quite a nice little guy.

It was scary enough for me with one ten gallon tank cracking open, so I don't think I want to know how much water is around my house at the mo!
Is there any 'unfloodable' sump design out there?
I suspect not because of the nature simply pumping and syphoning water about. Power cuts yes, blockages, maybe not...
Nice tank, btw and I like the urchin
And the doggie

Re: SOOO freakin LUCKY/ Pics for Kenny and TPF lol
I've not had any tanks crack open (thank God), but I've had a couple develop cracks in the bottom and I've had a few run-ins with overflows when I'm taking water out of my tank. Usually it's down to me not paying attention when I'm cleaning my filters and forgetting that I'm siphoning water out. Once we had a flood because I knocked a hose off (it was a flimsy set up) and then went outside to play with the dogs and when I came back in, about 25 gallons of water was all over the front room. It's a wonder we've not electrocuted ourselves, or the dogs, or fish, or all of the above.
I'm trying to be more careful nowdays.
