- My Puffers: I have two Green Spotted Puffers that I have had since August of 2008. One is about 3 1/2 inches and the other is about 2 1/2 inches long now. My husband and I call them the Fatty and the Little One. They live with two silver scats with in a brackish setup. Everyone gets along splendidly as long as they're fed on time!

Re: play sand?
I'm looking to change my GSP tank over from gravel to sand, are there any articles about pros and cons or cleaning techniques with sand?

Re: play sand?
The best way to clean sand that i have seen so far is to take the larger end of the vacume off and just use the 1/2" tube it will hoover anything off the top of the sand. Try not to stir up your water while your doing this since its easier to get it out when its sitting ontop of the sand. Once you have all the waist off the top of the sand just mix it up with your hands.

Re: play sand?
actually you should stir the sand once in a while. This aerates it and eliminates pockets of gas.
This is a vid of cleaning sand that I liked.
