what is the best statup tank

should i have the tank completely ready with decor or can i have a good start and keep adding?iam pretty sure my filtration is good 2 bio wheels two power heads agrogite bio ready sand plus extra aquarium sand 40 gallon tank.

It's fine to have a good start and then keep adding.....make sure that you have a well cycled tank as your good start though. I don't mean to question your ways but I hope you don't plan on the cycle being instant because of the live sand (if it was recently bought at the store as "live") It won't work to cycle your tank. What size biowheels you running?

i have 2 200 bios going and 2 125gph power heads moving water around i know the sand dont instantly cycle your tank ive took from alll my other tanks to get get good bacteria build up.and i have hatful momm mollie in the tank and alll she gives me is 3 little fry

how many of us want a kick a reef set up???whooomprobabably most ive seen some very nice setups...i dont want to go salt water but i will go saltwater for my fish if that makes sensei love the puffer forum fish fish fish

Unless you continually feed that seed bacteria you added with ammonia, it will die off quickly.
