Any type of puffer that can mix with a dp?

I would like more puffers in my tank, i was thinking amazon puffer(I've really really wanted one for awhile), but if not then ill just get more dps i guess. Any suggestions? any of you kept dps with amazons?

I currently am keeping dwarf puffers with my irrubesco (redtail redeye) puffers and they get along very well together. Actually I've seen the irrubesco chasing the DP's off when they get too close to a territory, but no nipping and certainly no death or fighting.
I will say that when I first got my Mbu, I tried to keep him in a tank with my dwarf puffers and even though the Mbu was 4-inches compared to their tiny selves, they still nipped him and tormented him something awful. In fact, I ended up having to rehome some puffers in order to give my Mbu some peace.
So you never can tell about DP's. Some puffers they will get along with and some they will harass and torment. But they aren't all bad, just be prepared in case there's trouble, so that you can separate them - that would be my advice.

I personally wouldn't mix them. Puffers in general are too temperamental and subject to nasty mood swings, even after years of peaceful cohabitation. I just wouldn't risk it.

Puffers in general and about the poorest family to select for mixed tanks. If you want to keep the fish well, set the the tan for one species, period, and often for one specimen.

All my SAPs had bite marks on the, fro ma single SP. Nasty lil suckers!

My dwarf puffer is a nasty little bugger. My mom jokingly calls him a little pit bull. While cleaning up around the computer area where my fish live I moved my betta's tank over next to the puffers and the little guy would ram the tank wall trying to get to the betta. Tanks were quickly seperated in fear the poor thing would end up hurting himself from his actions.

Like the others have said, it's kind of a hit and miss sort of thing but for a tiny fish dps pack a punch.

this same question was asked on another forum, and everyone over there is tryin to say the SAP's would eat the DP's. That the DP's are to small. No one is listening to me that DP's are mean little boogers

Yea, it's easy to conceive a much bigger fish eating a small one, but a tiny, cute little fish like a DP is hard to imagine tormenting something much larger.
