Hermit Crabs

Does anyone have any idea at what SG a hermit crab can be introduced into an aquarium? Most of what I find basically just states what a marine hermit crab is and the SG of a marine tank. I just figured they would be able to tolerate a brackish level of water as well. I'm still looking but I figured I'd pick everyone's brain here as well.

I have blue legged hermits in my tank, it's at 1.023 -1.024sg and they r doing great. They are pretty tough critters. All 7 have survived my ammonia and nitrites spikes.

I have read that blue legged hermits are the only hermits capable of living at 1.010 and above. Any lower and they dont adapt.

I have blue legged hermit crabs in a brakish tank. My Sg is 1.08. They are doing very well. They share a tank with my two f8's.

I have a hermit in my brackish tank (1.008). I have no idea what kind of hermit it is since I only had him as a treat for the puffer which hasn't realized that crabs are food, lol. He's been at that SG for over 6 months since I got him, and the person I got him from had a brackish tank. I'm not sure what SG her tank was at for sure or for how long.

I ended up adding 4 Blue Legs so far and they are all doing very well.

I have sine put red legged hermit crabs in. They are kind of cool. Twice as big as the blue legged hermit crabs and are really good for cleaning.

I've tried 4 different blue legged in my brackish tank. They all died. So full marine it is.
