Hawk Fish!
Re: Hawk Fish!
I don't keep a GSP, but i have Hawkfish in all my tanks (with puffers) and they're fab little fish, i will day though if you go for one, then go for a dwarf hawk or a Orange hawk as they are the best little characters, other species get larger and can be aggressive

Re: Hawk Fish!
I have been thinking about trying to get either a scarlet or long nosed hawkfish to stick with my gsp instead of a tom clown... So far i have read they are tough little critters. I hope someone gets chimes in and sais they are good to go with them.

Re: Hawk Fish!
i have a spotted hawkfish with a 4 inch GSP, my GSP has been very tolerable of any tankmates i put in there except a six line wrasse but he took to him after a day or two anyway so they have been fine. i really like the hawkfish i have he is more of a bottom dweller, perches up on the live rock. i really like seeing him eat the flakes i feed because he will go from his perch grab a flake and go back to his perch. then he will go to the substrate and chill there for a minute grabbing flakes that go by him. hes got some personality. reminds me almost of a mini marlin or sailfish

Re: Hawk Fish!
It all depends on the GSP. Mine ate a perc the 1st night it went in. Sounds like others might have nicer GSPs than mine were.
