new puffers .. please help identify

Hi folks I just got home from a vacation where I found this amazing fish store, Long story short I ended up bringing home two new puffs that I have never heard of. They were both being held in ten gal. tanks (fresh water). Right now I have them both in my 29 gal holding tank until I figure what tanks they need to go into please help. One is about 3 inches long and very skinny, almost didnt look like a puffer but the eyes gave him away, he is mostly green with a very bright orange pattern on his back with black inside. The other looks almost like a gsp but more brown and with a single black spot on his side and red eyes. I am trying to get pics up but any help would be great. the skinny one is very active and when fed he def showed agressiveness towards the other.

maybe this for the other? looks almost like a GSP with the pattern but darker and red eyes. cant find a spot on either of the two pictures linked like you described

or this, lol sorry for the extra posts, just looking in the pedia and jumping back over to link. whatever you have sounds like a target species, which from what i recently read can be hard to get a definite ID on. but they all have the basic same care. the one i linked above is a Fangs Puffer, a target species so just read that over and it should give you basically the care this one requires until you can get a picture and a positive ID from someone here who is better at this than me

I think the one that I dont have pics of is a fangs puffer.. looks just like the pics on here. The other one in the pic above is the one I really need to figure out.. It is the fastest fish I think I have ever seen!! moves around very quick when hes out, but otherwise likes to hide.. Other then that when I just turned the tank light on he burrowed into the gravel fairly deep.

look at the first link i posted. it looks like its a Fugu Puffer, marine conditions as it gets older. i have read it is commonly sold in FW but require brackish/marine as an adult

That first photo is a Takifugu ocellatus

You need to separate them immediately, one is a marine fish and the other is probably freshwater, aside from that, both are aggressive and might hurt one another.

thanks!! your def right its a fugu puffer.. Now I have to call my local pet shops to see who would like it. I cant handle full salt tanks in my apt. I hope the other works out, but thanks a whole lot. Hopefully I can get it into a good home quickly

I can only see one photo but that is definitely a Takifugu Ocellatus. Excellent article in the library.
