Re: What happened to you today :)
I don't know anyone in Greece I've never been, I'm just going with my boyfriend (who my parents havn't even met yet but it was their idea so they can't complain haha) I already have all my suitcase packed etc, and when the hospital is over with I'll be super excited I'm sure ^_^.
And
Flutter that's what I'm trying to think but whatever I do have might end up needing an operation after.. so I don't know that it will be over or if it's only just starting :p
And
Re: What happened to you today :)
One step at a time
Ignore any operation possibilities until after this first procedure. No use thinking about it unless it's going to happen
I had a minor operation to have my wisdom teeth out and it was very easy. Doctor was nice, needle went in, I was dead to the world in about half a second, and then I woke up. Waking up was slower than normal but I regained all mental facilities very quickly. I wasn't in pain while waking up either, the real pain didn't come until a few hours later. If you would be awake during the procedure then they can give you medication to get you through it. An anti-anxiety, mild sedative, etc. I get those for MRIs as I'm clausterphobic and they're an hour long and your entire body is strapped down. Head is wedged in, straps over your forehead, chin, chest, and sometimes arms and legs. Err, the point is the medications work well and you have -nothing- to worry about

It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Thanks
I'll just be very glad when it's over haha.
Just adding:
Today I bought a "polaroid pogo portable printer" it's tiny, only prints photo's 3" x 2" they have sticky backing & the printer needs no ink, it's just cool paper that has crystals in it or something.
It was only £20 and the paper £10 for 90.. I'm having fun printing off pictures haha, though I need to stop now because it was meant to be for holiday pictures, but I'd say it was a cool buy.. they should make a full sized photo one.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Yesterday our filter stopped again so we took it back to the store and there was a different manager. He was WAY better than the one the previous day. He gave us the credit for the full purchase price (instead of purchase price minus 25%), let us take the media home, and then price matched the new filter for us. After today we'll have gone from an XP3 to two Eheim 2215's on the 50gal.
Today we're going to buy another new filter to replace the one that broke. We've decided to go with two Eheims on the tank. We're really happy with the one on the irrubesco tank and they have a great reputation. We're also going to be buying some new NLS food, maybe some flakes, and some frozen red shrimp for the puffers. He has frozen daphnia as well but I don't know how big those would be so they may not be suitable. The irrubescos are very messy eaters so we can't give them small foods
Thankfully they're excellent little eaters and eat any frozen food that we give them.
Tonight we're going to see a friend's tank to look at how she has her multiple canister filters setup and she'll show us how she backwashes them too

I'm so jealous D: I'm learning Greek right now. (though I just started and the only sentence I can say is "Εγώ είμαι κοντός" which translates to "I am short") lol.Tigerlilly wrote:I'm actually going on holiday in August to Greece...

Re: What happened to you today :)
^If you want to learn I use this website: http://www.livemocha.com/invite/r:Ip8X6Yb3 it's free and is working great for me
You can learn pretty much any language with it. I just randomly decided Greek sounded fun.
And today the filter on my GSP tank stopped working ;___; so I'm just going to order bio-spira and bring it up to marine so I can use my skimmer instead of struggling to fix the crappy filter again. Right now I have like 4 10gallon filters on the tank, hopefully it'll be okay until I get the bio-spira delivered.

I'm really bad at learning languages but thanks
I did French for 3 years and I dont even remember how to say anything.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Today is a cleaning day. Someone let things slip since she's been so busy and today is the day to start picking things up. A few productive hours, some loud music, a glass of coffee with hot chocolate, and it's all good. Pandora keeps playing country though and it's irking me.
Also, we're thinking about getting a GSP. Almost seriously. I'm excited but we really shouldn't but it's SO tempting. We could do it all for about $100 if the tank we are looking at is still available. I said no but secretly I really want one
I just adore the irrubescos and I loved my dwarfs. We already have 4 tanks though and I don't want things to get out of hand once school comes around.
Don't worry about the French. I'm legally bilingual and I've forgotten it all since leaving highschool. Maybe I should work on that this summer... Should work on my Spanish and German as well
Kind of letting all my languages slip.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Today I went to hospital .. was SO scared, cried like a wimp & then they told me the camera was going to be next week! urghhhh.
I was ready for it today!
Now I have to get all nervous and cry all over again etc lol.
I'm having a ct scan too.
They said it could be something I was born with (wasn't listening to the name) or could be my ovaries etc etc.. so basically they have no idea after about 50 tests. Now I have a huge headache & I'm making pasta and going to bed.
I don't want to know what I've got anymore.. I feel ok, it should stay in there lol.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Today has been a little bit of a nightmare - Firstly i had a docs appointment this morning - and i hate the docs - (was to do with my back injury) then i have been checking over one of my tanks and found that georgy porgy my siamese fighter has been having his fins nipped by my large angel fishes i had in the tank - up until now they havnt had any problems (past 6 months) but for some reason they have been attacking him today - so i took him out and put him in a 1.5ft tank i keep as a hospital/moving tank - so lets hope he will be ok -

Re: What happened to you today :)
Today has been an excellent day for me (for once). I went and bought a lovely little Fire eel, been wanting one and actually bought one yesterday from a private seller that ended up dying last night. There was something seriously wrong with that fish and I am not feeling very happy at the seller who is conveniently ignoring my emails.
But anyway, went and got another one that looks really nice, as one should and he's doing fine. Then we went and I got another pygmy chameleon to add to my pair, now making it a trio. So I've got 2 females now and one male. Let's all think "eggs"! I got a really good discount on the chameleon too because I paid them cash instead of using plastic, that put a BIG smile on my face!
