i have a yellow tail damsel and he is a good cleanup crew picking up all the extra food floating around from the puffers mess. Never owned a chromis.

i like damsels myself. my blue velvet damsel has one heck of a personality! stunning fish when young, but loses its bright coloring to a brown color as an adult. i have had mine for about 6 months, he grew some but hasnt changed colors yet

I was considering a domino or three striped damsel for my nano but damsels are so aggressive. I dont want to make trouble for the goby I want to put in there.

According to a couple places I just checked out, and I'm quoting here, not my facts lol- The largest scientifically measured Domino Damsel was 11.0 cm / 4.3 in. Still too large for my tank really.

I had a three striped in a 10g with two yellow tail. They were still juveniles and i could tell it was overcrowded. The three striped chased everybody. I wouldn't recommend them for a small community tank.
