They are definitely worth every penny. If I can suggest anything, I would suggest to have the money for a huge tank before you get him!!

Re: Kaleeko - Mbu Puffer
you would think hes singing!
hes lovely, but then we're all biased on here lol
if i could have another puffer, it would be either a mbu or a congo.
the size of a mbu would put me off tho
congos are cool shapes lol!
does your fahaka still burrow lisa?

i saw a couple videos on youtube
im getting some work done to house in next few months,
and after that, me thinks i will get a congo!
nearest ones are about 200 miles away, but my fahaka was that distance as well lol
a girl from another forum makes regular trips up to near were i live, and brought my fahaka up
she will bring a congo up from same store!

Re: Kaleeko - Mbu Puffer
That's awesome.. I was looking for a congo for a few months, and no LFS had any..
I bought my guy off of someone from a local forum I'm on.
He's about 3.5 inches, I wanted a baby, but I wasn't patient enough I suppose...
About a month later, LFS brought in 1 inch congos..
exactly what I wanted. lol oh well.
They are worth it at any size.. he's much different then my mbu & fahaka

Re: Kaleeko - Mbu Puffer
yea my fahaka and gsp are very different in personalities
i wanted something different for my last tank & puffer.
i like the idea of a lurker rather than a hunter!
and such a different shape & size as well!

R.I.P Kaleeko - Mbu Puffer
I write this with a very heavy heart. Kaleeko the mbu puffer passed away on Saturday June 12th, 2010.
I warn anyone who dares to keep a Mbu in aquaria, they are a very large, beautiful fish. They belong in the wild, and they are incredibly easy to get attatched to. Kaleeko will be deeply missed. We burried him below a tree, by a local river.
I believe he is in a better place now, Puffer Heaven.
R.I.P Kaleeko
Miss you tons & Love you millions.

I'm very sorry for your lose, he was an incredible looking mbu and he was loved so much. It's so wonderful that you chose a spot to bury him. I hope that your doing ok and I pray that things will get better for you.
