A fahaka will chomp anything put in with it, given the wrong mood :)

I should know - that was my first puffer, several years ago.

Every puffer will have its own temperment. Pufferpunk has a Fahaka that lives peacefully with some tankmates.. but every few years he WILL randomly chomp someone. Other people have Fahakas that will slaugher anything.

However, on the subject of bala sharks, I wouldn't recommend it. They get about a foot long and are very big, very jump fish that need a lot of room, and like to be in schools. So you're talking about adding 6 or more foot long fish to a tank that already has a big puffer.. you have 1000 gallons handy? Probably not.

Now, maybe a rainbow shark.. I could see you getting away with that possibly if your fahaka is one of the rare, sweet ones. Rainbow sharks are smart and know how to hide.. but is it really worth it if the fish has to hide all the time?

Yeah I know.. I have a cordless keyboard and sometimes it misses a letter here and there. I was too lazy to go back and fix that one ;)
