1st Takifugu ocellatus I've ever seen & he's mine!
I was embarrassed to say anything until I was sure he was OK. I put him in the tank with the tube anemone & he immediately went into the nem & got stung very badly. He looked very shocky & almost dead & had grey burn marks everywhere--even one eye was totally grey. I had to leave very early the next morning for the weekend, so I put him into my fuge overnight (didn't trust him in my big reef tank). I offered him freeze-deed plankton in the morning before I left & he ate some, so i was hopeful. Got home today & he looks perfect & ate more FD mysis shrimp. now I have to set up a new tank for him. I'll probably get rid of the 1 F8 I have left & dragon goby in my living room. I'm looking for a 50g bowfront for him.

She's gorgeous! I think I'll stick with a "she", as it's so pretty.

Congratulations! I've seen them several times in the stores around here since Douggie died, but I've resisted...it was tough, though, they're awesome!

I saw your FB status and was confused by the "peacock puffer" part. Woohoo! Congrats!
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

The LFS has them on sale for $10 and is selling them as FW fish
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

I'm thinking about how pretty she'll look with Tahitian black moon sand in her tank.
