Can bumble bee gobies be mixed with f8's?
Does anyone know if bumblebee gobies can be mixed with f8's? Some sites say yes some say no. The lfs said that I could. But They also told me that I could mix Gsp's and F8's and I found out the hard way that thats not true.

My two F8's share a tank with three bb gobies. The F8's seem to ignore them for the most part. I have even seen the gobies chase the F8's away from "their" rocks on occasion. I find it quite comical actually. But ya never know, one day those F8's might be inclined to fight back or even have a taste out of boredom. Its a crap shoot. Anything can happen so you wont be suprised if it does.

Re: Can bumble bee gobies be mixed with f8's?
I had a trio of BBGs with my single F8 in my 20 gallon. They lived happily for a month, but a few days ago, I gave away the gobies. My F8 tended to eat their food. I even bought huge tweezers to try and place the food in front of them so it would flow toward them and they could snatch it. I have a lot of caves and things so this was difficult. This led to a dirtier tank and me being unhappy with all the excess food being wasted and what not. I found it easier to keep my F8 alone even though they lived peacefully.

Re: Can bumble bee gobies be mixed with f8's?
my bbgs wont eat anything i put in for the gsp
the only thing they will eat are bloodworms soaked in vitamins.
and all are healthy & thriving for last 5 months..
they are tough enough to compete with woody.
i usually throw in a large snail for woody to work at
then the bbgs can get some bloodworm in peace!
as i raise the salinity of my tank
i maybe faced with removing bbgs.
dont know whether into a smaller tank with a fig8 or rehome them
they are such characters tho.
duno yet lol
