Hi,

I am trying to create some shimmer by using 5mm leds. I have an ac adapter was wasnt sure how many i could safely use.
The adapter specs are:
inout
100-240vac 50-60Hz 0.2A

output
5vdc 0.7A

ANy ideas?

Id buy one LED underbody lighting rod and use a 12v AC/DC converter. itll light up as many as you want. Plus theyre waterproof.

+1 I wrote a DIY / conversion in the tricks of the trade section:

I was surprised how easily it was done.

I actually got the idea from your thread :-)

I wasnt sure how many i could add to the adapter..

I put two 4' sets on each adapter. The adapter drew less than 3 watts.

does it really matter the color of the led for moonlights? i heard people saying that moonlights need to be blue 450-470 nm
