Am I an Abei ?

Post by omplmpa3 »

I picked this fellow up on Thursday. It was in the store for a couple of weeks, and while its health didn't seem to be declining, it certainly was not improving. It's about three inches long, not including the caudal fin. I was thinking that maybe it was an Abei, but I'm not certain. The more pictures of target group puffers I looked at the less sure I became. These pictures were taken over a span of ten minutes and its coloration is all over the place. It seems to have a pair of eyespots near the base of the caudal fin but I can't be entirely sure.

It's not an abei. I would guess it's a turgidus.
