Which Koralia is right for me?

I have a 46 gal bow mixed reef including a couple softies, leathers, lps, & sps. My flow is going to be dependent on two pumps and a skimmer. No overflow or mechanical filter of any sort(besides skimmer). Hydors website says 2 Koralia 3 would be sufficient flow. I own a couple Koralia nanos that are suppose to have about the same flow as my maxijet 1200 but didn't seem to compare. I also own a couple Koralia 4s @ 1200gph and it was way too much flow. Does 2 Koralia 3s @ 850gph sound excessive at all or just about right? The Koralia 2s would be my next guess at 600gph.

I would get one koralia 3 and test it out, if its too strong you can always aim it more towards the surface to deflect some flow. You will then know if you want 1 more k3 or a k2.

I run 1k4 down and behind the rocks, and two koralia evo 1400s on a redsea wavemaster pro, in addition to a mag 9.5 return, probably around 450-550gph after the manifold and head-loss.

Thanks y'all... I wanted to get two equal pumps to point at each other toward the surface. This is how i had my last pumps setup. Seems to create good turbulence and does a good job of preventing laminar flow w/out a wavemaker. I'll get two k2s. I read somewhere that k2 and k3 impellers are compatible and you can up the power of k2s by using a k3 impeller. I haven't confirmed this yet. Anybody herd this?

not sure on that one, check marine depot, if the pumps are the same size, then I would believe it.

Get the evo pumps, they can be run on a wavemaker, and wave makers are getting really cheap. $40 for the JBJ Ocean Pulse - DUO @ big als. You will get some clicking, but worth it.

I was kind of liking the discounted prices on the originals. Lots of clearance pricing on them but i'll compare prices.
