GSPs nocturnal
Hey I was just wondering if GSPs are considered nocturnal. It seems like every time I get up at night and turn the room light on they are already buzzing around the tank. During the day its about 50/50 them laying at the bottom and swimming around.

You can find some individuals prefer lower light levels to become more active. Its not just GSP's it could be attributed to many of the puffers.

I definitely think my Ceylons prefer a darker environment. They are much more active at night, even when I have the moonlights on, but during the day they all seem to hunker down and don't do much at all. And my Cutcutia is definitely nocturnal, as that's about the only time you will see her out and about.

My gsp Ralph sleeps in the dark. If the light is turned on for just a couple seconds he starts to wake up, I feel really bad turning on the light for a minute because of this - it really seems to confuse him.
